Find out what we're up to this term in our latest newsletter. Now SATs are finally over we've got a very busy term ahead of us with a summer production to put on, a summer fair to organise as well as all of our transition work for secondary school!

Last term we are each researching a river in an economically less developed country, in order to compare its use to rivers in our own country. We created some great Powerpoint presentations and will upload a sample soon.

We had a great time on the year 6 PGL residential.

During the Autumn term, we learnt all about The Normans and their buildings.

We visited Conisbrough Castle and in Design Technology we made working models of drawbridges using our knowledge of cogs and pulleys.

We have spent some time looking at the events surrounding the Norman Conquest. As part of this we have looked in detail at the Bayeux Tapestry. We then tried to recreate the tapestry using watercolours. Here are some of the results.
